Ronald Scott McDowell is a sculptor and painter who has earned several commendations and awards. He is known for his life-like pictorials intended to master the range of human emotion and capture the essence of the human spirit.

Ronald is one of the most talented artists in the world. With nearly 2,000 original works to his credit, McDowell is a painter, an illustrator, a portraitist, a muralist, a sculptor and a poet.

McDowell has been featured in many national news magazines, newspapers and has made public appearances during the course of his career. He currently serves as the Artist for the Jazz Hall of Fame, the Alabama Music Hall of Fame, the Multicultural Center, the Birmingham Black Barons Negro League Baseball Hall of Fame, and is Artist-in-Residence for the city of Tuskegee.

He has also been commissioned by some of the most notable people in world affairs and entertainment to render portraits, including Nelson Mandela, Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, Elvis Presley, and more.

As an African-American artist, McDowell considers himself a public servant to his community, He is committed to telling truthful stories of black life and love through his works.
